Best wave ever had and where: Croyde low tide took off on very heavy 6ft wave, pulled in and stood in barrel all the way...popped out with dry hair at the end, and stoked to have made it, best of all my mates saw it too!!

Biography:
Point Breaks proprietor and Head Instructor Simon Twitchen has 21 years teaching experience and in that time has taught 1000's of people. In Sept 2007 Simon won the Jesus Surf Classic, masters division at Croyde Bay.

Qualifications
All Point Breaks instructors are fully qualified in the field in which they are teaching. For your added safety They are also fully qualified beach lifeguards. Here is a list of qualifications obtained, please phone us if more specific detail is required.

*Full beach lifeguard with Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS)
*Level one, two and three British Surf Association (BSA) Instructor
*British Water Ski Federation (BWSF) Wake board instructor qualification
*Royal Yachting Association (RYA) level one and two boat handling
*International Ski boat driver award. (BWSF)
*Gold level water ski instructors award (BWSF)
*First Aid at work certificate
*VHF radio certificate
*Instructors and the law certificate (NCF award)
Point Breaks is a fully Accredited surf school with the British Surfing Association.

Hi, You might not remember me but I'm the girl you and the other instructor rescued from the sea while free surfing a month ago? I had an accident and was massively freaking out! Well, i actually broke my ankle, spent bank holiday monday in hospital in Barnstaple - it was so painful!! Still on crutches but 2 weeks to go - and counting. Anyway I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU!!!! to all 3 of you, you really rescued me and if you hadnt been there I dont know what I would have done, so thanks again Rachel.

Just wanted to pass on everyone thanks to the instructors on Saturday. We all had a fantastic time - and many are keen to try surfing again. We all felt very safe and had a lot of fun - even if the wetsuits were a bit hard to get into. Thanks again. Em
